As a local ministry, we are dedicated to using easy to read Bibles specifically geared towards many life applications as a tool for reaching out to our communities. What better way to accomplish this than to equip the church with the most powerful tool with have as followers of Christ, The Bible.
As churches equip their congregations to reach out, and as ministries in the church work with spiritual poverty, we are dedicated to helping the church use the Bible in effective ways.
As we work together in reaching out to our communities, we also want you to know that we work with many organizations that distribute thousands of Bibles but cannot afford to make a donation for them. As we support them with Bibles, we aim to become part of the church’s missions budget so we can continue this growing ministry. If you share a passion that everyone deserves the message of Christ, we ask you to consider, us as local missionaries, to be a part of your church giving.

Equip the Church - Send the Church
Challenge
Why?
Church leaders preach about going out into the world and be an example, love your neighbour and help people around you………and then comes SHARE YOUR FAITH. It’s quite easy to love most people and it’s not even than hard to be a good example but when it comes to sharing our faith, how many of us really do it? People can be told to do this over and over, and people will applaud and say it’s a great idea. Then comes Monday, and it does not happen. But, the church can help equip people to go out and actually DO IT.
Equip
As believers, we are called to step out of our comfort zone and share what we believe with the world. This doesn’t happen very often unless we are given some tools to help us. We need to be challenged to GO to them as they will not come to us.
Challenge
- One Sunday, preach about sharing our faith with neighbours, co-workers, hairdressers, family doctors etc.
- Place a Bible and a response card on every single seat in the Church. Challenge them to give this Bible away to someone within the next one or two weeks. Have them pray about who they should approach for this special gift.
- After they give that Bible away, they should be encouraged to place the response card in a box set aside for this project.
- After the allotted time, if you have box full of cards, you will know that people have taken up this challenge. If the cards are scarce, there could be more training and teaching necessary in the area of evangelism.
- Amazing stories can come out of sharing our faith. We receive testimonies consistently of how people were impacted by simply receiving a Bible or giving one away. Share these stories on the cards with the church. This will get people fired up about doing it again and again and again. Sharing your faith becomes an “addiction” when you obey the call and spread the Word.
How does the happen?
LifeLight Ministries will provide the Bibles to be given away. We are a non-profit ministry and so each Bible has a $4 suggested donation. This covers our costs. Our mission and passion is to equip the Church and to distribute God’s Word wherever He opens the door.
Example
Congregation of 400 x $4/Bible = $1600
So, $1600 means 400 Bibles will be given away locally to those who need to hear the message of salvation. That means 400 seeds have been planted with a simple act of obedience.
Idea: If this cannot come out of your budget, challenge the church to a small fundraiser. Get them fired up about the church needing funding for Bibles that are going out into the community. Once the funds are in, let them know that they have just funded their own little missions trip and present the challenge to them.
Our hope is to stir the hearts of the Church to go out and be the Church. Our prayer is that this will happen not once, but many times over!
